The holidays are over but the weather is still chilly. Let Selina's Fab French Onion Soup warm you up from the inside out! 🍲


✿ 3 medium-large onions, thinly sliced

✿ 2-4 tbs of butter

✿ 1 teaspoon honey

✿ salt to taste

✿ 2-4 cloves of garlic

✿ 3 sprigs of thyme

✿ 1/4 - 1/2c of brandy

✿ 1/2 cup of white wine

✿ 8c of beef or veggie stock

✿ 2 bay leaves

✿ bread (recommend a baguette)

✿ cheese of your choice



✿ Caramelize the onions w/ the butter, garlic and honey (they must be golden and jammy before the next step!)

✿ Add stock, thyme, bay leaves

✿ Salt to taste

✿ Simmer for 30-45 mins

Fish out the bay leaves and thyme

✿ Assemble the soup! If you like crustier bread, let it go a little stale or toast it in the oven before soaking it in the broth.

Add in the following order: bread -> broth -> cheese (I like gouda or an aged/smoked cheddar).

✿ Melt the cheese under your broiler or normal oven @ 350 F

✿ Serve!
