If you take a wrong turn
Hope you don't end up on Slasher Street.
Strange occurrences are making headlines in the local newspapers. Countless locals have gone missing. The last place they were seen was on the corner of Slasher Street, right by the graffitied wall that looks like peering eyes.
Who did it?
Slasher Street
Inspired by classic slasher films
Don't let the typically soft, upbeat aesthetic of Carmico fool you; from iconic killers to infamous last-girls, horror movies have always been an integral part of my interest and inspiration. Classic, almost-campy slasher flicks of the 90's always brought a lighthearted note to the genre. Fans alike bonded by speculating on what we would do in the slasher victims' shoes. In this line, I wanted to capture the highs and lows of a classic slasher movie, from the carefree beginnings to creeping paranoia, then putting the pieces together then, finally, the big confrontation, ending with the bittersweet relief of being the final girl. I hope you can feel the whimsy in the horror when you take a stroll down Slasher Street!

You step out the door. In a fit like this, you can't help but sense you're being watched. 👁️

The Cursed Children
"It had been two weeks since your brother and sister left for camp. All kinds of strange things happened while they were away. Strange noises, doors slamming, voices in the walls. You'd watched enough scary movies that it didn't bother you much, though, you couldn't wait to make them even more afraid of the dark. But something was off about them when they returned...
Your brother is bigger than you remember, much bigger. And not in a way that would be normal, having only been gone for two weeks. When you bring him a shirt to change out of his grimy camp shirt, it's two sizes too small.
Your sister is still the same little girl but she's pale as ivory. She lost all of her colour despite being in the summer sun every day since she left.
You figure it's nothing but a growth spurt and maybe a case of too much sunscreen. Is that a thing?
Later that evening you find them playing in the toy room. Your brother hands you a toy car and wants you to play with him; you have an idea. Dropping the car, you run up to his bedroom to grab his toy ramp.
"Don't go in my room!" Your brother and sister shout in eerie unison. But you're already astride the top step. You hear a faint "Shh" from behind the door as footsteps echo up the stairway. Strange, you tear open the door to your brother's closet to find him, the same size he was before camp, cowering in the corner with your sister. Her skin also as it was. Their eyes slowly drift down from yours until they're looking between your legs through the closet threshold. Their eyes widen in horror."
The Cursed Children
Our Cursed Children; a note on product issues
Most fear stems from the unknown. We're here to set the record straight on this line's "problem children".
Custom manufacturing original designs has it's pros and cons. The cons being that sometimes manufacturers make mistakes and we don't often have the means to fix large scale issues before collections launch. The Cold Case | Tee and Caution | Joggers arrived to us less than perfect, but still very close.
Cold Case | Tee
The Cold Case | Tee is exactly as designed except that the size grading is about two sizes small.
Action required: for the intended, boxy fit depicted in the photos, size up twice. However, you could get away with your normal size or just one size up if you prefer a more fitted look. The best way to know is to check the size guide and make sure the shirt you're buying has a chest measurement 3-5 inches greater than the circumference of your chest.
Please understand that we ordered stock before we knew about the issue. We ordered our typical quantities for larger sizes but since most people will likely be sizing up, larger sizes will sell out fast.
Caution | Joggers
The Caution | Joggers don't require any additional work, they just turned out lighter than intended. Our manufacturer batched the acid wash process separately for the tops and bottoms when they should have done them together. This resulted in joggers getting more acid washed and the sweater getting the intended wash.
No action required. Just know the blacks won't match perfectly if you buy the set.
Solving the problem
Both issues are small but notable. It's disappointing to have to compromise for shortcomings out of our control, especially on two items in the same collection, but the items still have their integrity, are great quality, and are otherwise just as we imagined them.
To avoid wasting fabric, money, and hard work, we took the lesser of all evils and decided to sell the items while being transparent as possible about their issues.
This line was a bit of a risk to begin with. It's out of our comfort zone. We hope you love this line despite its quirks. Now go slay! 🔪
The victim and the case wound up dead. Who has the final piece of evidence to put this case to rest? 🔍
A note about sizing
PLEASE CHECK THE SIZE CHART
These tees are much smaller than intended. Our manufacturer interpreted our size adjustments wrong and instead of sizing everything one size up, they sized one size down, resulting in shirts that are about two sizes smaller than intended.
We've changed the size names on the listing and in the size chart to match the chest measurement. We thought doing this would make people stop to double check the size chart to make sure they have the right size.
We recommend buying a size 2-3" greater than your chest circumference for a fitted look, or 4-5" for the intended fit.
Since most customers will be sizing up, the larger sizes will sell out fast. We're so sorry for the inconvenience.
Other than the sizing, the shirts are perfect and one of our favourite items of any of our collections. For the inconvenience, we've marked the shirts down ~10% from their originally intended price.
