Hello Stargazers!

We have amazing news!

All pre-order items are officially in our warehouse as of December 2nd

Everything is accounted for which is the hardest part of the whole pre-order. So we can all exhale in relief that no freight shenanigans happened!

We’re way ahead of schedule and thrilled to have everything with us but a few logistical annoyances are pushing fulfillment into January.

Peak Season

Peak shipping season comes with every Black Friday and Christmas, but, as with Black Friday, peak shipping season starts earlier every year.

With peak season comes all the peak season issues like lost packages, increased postal rates, shipping delays, among other things. We're opting to wait until after peak-season to avoid all of these issues and ensure packages arrive as safely as possible.

We’re also all sick to death of emails from Black Friday campaigns and anticipate many of you will miss this update due to email fatigue. We want to make sure everyone has an opportunity to change their address if needed.

January movers

Pre-orders are always the things that get lost in the chaff when you’re right in the middle of moving to a new home. Orders shipped at the top of the month are much less likely to arrive after move-in dates. Another reason to wait until January is so everyone moving has ample time to change their address, move, then get settled before it arrives.

Also, if you live in a cold climate and you’re moving somewhere new in January, you’re a brave soldier. 🫡

Bottom line

All items have arrived and are being sorted and staged in our warehouse so the warehouse team is ready to begin fulfillment as soon as they return from their holiday break.

We spoke to our warehouse about fulfillment dates and the earliest we can start post-peak season is January 6th as the warehouse is closed from December 23rd to January 6th. The earliest alternative would be mid-month, prone to peak-season delivery issues, and delivery would overlap with move-in dates. So January 6th it is!

Look at it this way, order fulfillment emails will go out as a belated Christmas gift and if you've moved, a housewarming gift. 🎁😉

Action required

If you have moved since pre-ordering or if you will be moving in early January, please email us at hello@carmico.ca with your order number and updated address. You can also reply directly to your order confirmation email.

The deadline to update your address is Thursday, January 2nd, 2025.

Next update

The next update will come on January 1st, 2025 as a final reminder to update your address before the due date on January 2nd, 2025.
