Top Up, Sunsetting Styles & More~

Hello friends, happy June!

To start, thank you all so much for your love on the sale so far. We’re so glad all of you have been enjoying getting a little mid-year discount on your fave goodies~

As mentioned in the initial sale blog post, some styles will be sunsetting but not without a little stock top-up before it ends. We wanted to take a bit of time to address some communication slip ups this week and elaborate on the upcoming top-up, our sunsetting styles, and how we will be going forward to avoid confusion in the future!

We appreciate your patience with us. Better late than never, right?

The Top Up

We mentioned at the start of this sale that we would be topping up the site with some of your favourite styles before the sale ends. The restock was expected to happen almost two weeks ago… then it was pushed to that Friday… Then the middle of last week… and here we are. 😅

We had a solid timeline for the restock before a terrible storm hit Ontario. The storm wiped out our fulfilment center’s internet for nearly a week. So, it got pushed once, then pushed again because they needed more time to catchup on the backlog caused by the outage. Our fulfilment center is a small business itself. All day to day operations are handled by a pair of best friends packing each and every order! They’ve worked enough overtime in the last few weeks to make sure all the Stargazer Sweaters were fulfilled in a timely manner. Our promise to them was to ensure they didn’t work any longer than necessary.

I always try my best to be as open and honest as possible with you all, from upcoming projects to what’s happening in my personal life (to a certain extent). Sometimes that transparency is misguided, and ends up confusing people when things haven’t been nailed down behind the scenes. I shouldn’t have confirmed any dates until the behind-the-scenes work was done. From now on, I won’t say any dates of release until everything is ready!

PLEASE NOTE: The Stargazer Sweater, Starscape Bag, Mini Moon Wallet and Comet cap are not a part of the stock top up or sale. They will restock at retail price with the upcoming Daybreak line in June.

Sunsetting Styles

We mentioned briefly that this sale comes before we sunset some of our older styles. This decision was hard to come to since so many folks love our older styles! All of our styles hold a special place in our hearts but we also want to make room for a new era of Carmico—newer styles with bigger ambitions—and to do that we need to let go of some styles.

Moving Forward

Carmico is a small business through and through, no matter how many followers we have here or on any other social media; follower count doesn’t equal staff number! Carmico is currently a 2 person team of myself (Selina) and Aidan running every part of Carmico (with our social media helper Lily here and there.) We are planning to hire soon, but as of right now it’s just us! Work-life balance is tough, and sometimes work overtakes life, and life can overtake work, and with our recent home move, some things slipped through the cracks.

We have plans in place that will help us to communicate better going forward. We won’t be setting any dates until everything is ready to go. This will help us solidify release dates, minimize delays, and avoid any confusion.

We deeply appreciate your love and understanding as we find balance, learn, and grow! We can’t wait for you to see what the next era of Carmico has in store for you~!
