Update #3: Knitwear Arriving, Return to Remaining Production
Hey Stargazers!
We have some super exciting news! Knitwear just arrived at our US warehouse this morning and the knitwear shipment to our Canadian warehouse is clearing customs in Vancouver. All knitwear should be accounted for in the next week or so. Now we just need to sort out a few logistical items before we can confirm early fulfillment for knitwear-only orders.
While we’re talking about exciting things, we also have some news for our customers outside of the US. We’re working on a transition to a new Canadian fulfillment provider which will vastly improve the shipping and fulfillment experience for all orders outside of the US. We’ve been thrilled with the level of service from our US fulfillment provider since we started with them last June, and this new Canadian provider is just like them with all the same technology, software, and a bigger, friendly. All major improvements that should make shopping from Carmico even more of a breeze. More info about this coming this month!
With knitwear on its way, a warehouse move, and Toronto Comicon coming up in March, our plate is overflowing, but we will manage! Considering how busy we are this month, and some logistical challenges to navigate, we may not be able to do early fulfillment for knitwear this month, but it is still possible. We’ll keep you posted as our moving dates become more concrete.
Other items are still in production as expected. A quick reminder that bags take the longest to produce with a 60 day lead time, and tees and hoodies started a little later due to scheduling conflicts. Since the factories started production in early to mid January and had a month long break for CNY through February, they still have some time to finish through March.

As things stand, the schedule is still going according to plan. Here’s a reminder about the timeline stated in our kick-off blog:

- December 19th - January 2nd: Pre-order
- 11:59 pm EST on January 2nd: Pre-order closes
- January - Mid-March: Production
- Late March - Early May: Freight to our warehouses
- Late May - Mid June: Fulfillment
- Mid June: Pre-order Complete!

We will send address update reminders before we start fulfillment, including reminders to any customers with knitwear-only orders if we can manage early fulfillment for those orders.
Blog updates can always be found on the website in case you don't receive emails. This is a particularly important notice considering sending issues with last month's update. Klaviyo, our email marketing platform, changed a part of our workflow without notice, so last month's email wasn't sent properly (sorry!) We've adjusted accordingly, but if you're ever wondering about updates and haven't received an email, head to the blog!
