Update #2: Production Status
Hello Stargazers!
We hope you enjoyed your holiday break and are off to a great year! 2025 was a wild ride, and while we aren’t necessarily out of the woodworks yet, 2026 is already feeling like an improvement.
This update will be relatively brief since everything is going according to the plan we set out in the previous post.
As expected, all knits are production complete as they are the fastest to produce. Knits will be shipped to us before CNY, so they are likely to arrive by mid March.
Unfortunately, but as expected, the tees and hoodies could not be completed before CNY. We encouraged factory management not to pressure the team to finish before their holiday. Doing so would cause undue stress and increase the chances of defects and production mistakes.
Productions for the modular tote bags began recently. The recycled polyester takes longer than the other fabrics we tend to use and is shipped from a few provinces over from the factory producing the bags. As a reminder, the lead time to complete the bags is 60 days. Since the 60 days of production is being split up by a three week long holiday, we’re anticipating that the bags won’t be complete until late March, early April.
Production schedules are staggered, with some items being ready well before the others. When the knitwear arrives, we’ll make a decision based on timing for whether or not we’ll send orders only containing knit items. We should have our decision by the time we post March’s blog, if not, shortly after. We’ll revisit in March’s blog either way!
There have been a few more questions regarding the timeline than usual, mostly due to the many new friends who have pre-ordered for the first time! We encourage you to read through all blog posts. All the info you need will be available in the most recent post, including reminders like the ones below!
Reminders
We know how it goes! If in your excitement you said, “No way I’m reading all that text,” and then didn’t realize the pre-order could take up to six months. Normally we can manage fulfillment within 3 months, but since CNY splits up production, and the bags take longer than the other items to produce, the timeline is longer than usual. Please be patient, it’s in everyone’s best interest (including ours) that we deliver as quickly and accurately as possible!
Returns, exchanges, and cancellations: Items may be returned or cancelled for store credit or exchanged for other products once they have been delivered to you. Cancellations via original payment method were only available before January 4th when the pre-order window ended.
In-Stock Items: Ships immediately if you only order in-stock items (not Stardust items); if combined with pre-order items, ships together in Q2 2026.
Estimated Timeline (subject to delays):
- December 19th - January 2nd: Pre-order
- 11:59 pm EST on January 2nd: Pre-order closes
- January - Mid-March: Production
- Late March - Early May: Freight to our warehouses
- Late May - Mid June: Fulfillment
- Mid June: Pre-order Complete!
