Update #8: Fulfillment complete!

Both of our warehouses have finished fulfillment which means this is the last official pre-order update! 🥳
Thank you so much for your patience as we navigated serious operational changes this year. The US trade war has complicated a lot for us, but it warms our hearts to be reminded that the people who love Carmico always have our back. <3
Exchanges
Important: for the best chance at an exchange, please reach out as soon as possible, exchange stock is limited.
Working with a US-based warehouse wasn’t a consideration when we launched this pre-order, so it comes with a few unexpected challenges. The main one regarding exchanges is that there is less extra inventory at both locations because the inventory that would have all been at one location is now spread between thinner between the two. This means we’ll be low on inventory for most of our extra Starfall items and may be difficult to exchange for the right size.
In addition, exchanges for US customers are still not ready through our return portal.
Normally, exchanges are simple. Our return portal usually handles everything, but with all of the operational changes we’ve been making, there are some logistical complications.
We usually only allow same-product exchanges for pre-orders but because of lower-than-expected stock, we’re removing that restriction. You may exchange for anything in-stock within the return window, which will eventually include upcoming Teahouse items (once the pre-orders are fulfilled) in September and restocks of Slasher Street in October.
For customers in the US
If you’d like an exchange, the best course of action is to reach out to us at hello@carmico.ca with your:
- Order number
- The item you want to return
- The item you want to receive in exchange
- Any address updates
For customers everywhere else
Attempt to make the exchange in our return portal. If you’re having trouble getting what you want, follow the same instructions for US customers above.
We’ll do our best to accommodate!
Final words
Global disruption wasn’t on our radar this year, but that’s on us for assuming another Trump term wouldn’t come with some… blips (trying not to make it political, however, the pun is necessary.)
The world is uncertain—we’d be lying if we said we were sure about Carmico’s future. Small businesses are suffering so much more than medium to large businesses from all the legislative changes. We have a path forward, but we’re unfortunately beholden to the whims of powerful people. If, despite the hiccups, Starfall brought you joy, think of Carmico the next time you feel like shopping; it makes the world of a difference to us. And if it didn’t, kindly let us know how we could do better!
We’ve outlasted millions of stars in our lifetime, and millions more will outlast us. With all of the uncertainty in the world, find certainty in the night sky.
